Associate Professor Leisa Sargent
Profile
Bio
Associate Professor Leisa Sargent was awarded her Ph.D. from the Rotman School of Management, The University of Toronto. She has lectured at Cornell University and Queensland University of Technology. Her undergraduate and masters degrees in Psychology were completed at The University of Queensland. She is a research leader in the Sloan Work and Family research network in the U.S.Leisa has been an expert witness in the Industrial Relations Commission focusing on the detrimental effects of job changes in the Australian aged care sector and has most recently co-authored a submission to the Senate inquiry on Aged Care. Her organizational research includes career and job transitions, managing work-life boundaries and team effectiveness. Her work is published in several internationally recognised journals as well as in edited books. She has consulted to large complex organizations both in Australia and North America. She is currently collaborating on two Australian Research Council linkage grants relating to work organisation changes in Australian Aged Care and an evidence based approach to developing leadership capabilities and retaining managerial talent in Australian business.
